Your arrival in France

1/ From Sunday 18 July (00.00 a.m.), if you have not been vaccinated you must present a negative PCR or antigen test less than 24 hours old to travel to French territory from the UK.

2/ If you have been fully vaccinated you will therefore no longer have to present a test in order to enter French territory. The period of time you must wait following the final dose has been reduced to seven days (double dose, or previous infection + one dose) and 28 days (single dose).

3/ France recognizes the AZ-Covishield vaccine, so it is possible to travel to France with this type of vaccine if you have been fully vaccinated.

4/ The age at which a test is required (accompanied or unaccompanied minors with one vaccinated parent) is going up from 11 to 12 years old.

5/ French nationals abroad (including in the UK) will continue to benefit from free PCR and antigen tests carried out in France.

Your return to the United Kingdom

The UK has announced that, from 19 July (4.00 a.m.) onwards, anyone fully vaccinated in the UK is exempt from the requirement to quarantine if they are returning from amber-list countries.

This measure does not affect anyone, of whatever nationality, travelling from France. There is therefore no change if you are travelling from France to the UK.
